There was a time when the mere mention of her mother’s name would send Tori Spelling into a meltdown.

But after years of bickering and estrangement – the duo finally kissed and made up last year, and now it seems their relationship is better than ever.

And to show the three generations are now enjoying a loving relationship – the ladies all held hands as they walked in the Upper East Side of New York yesterday while enjoying a shopping trip.

Tori’s two children Liam, four, and two-year-old Stella put on their cutest outfits to impress their grandmother and looked adorable.

Little Stella looked like a budding fashionista and wore a black dress, black fur-lined boots and a fluffy white jacket.

Her pink knitted hat finished off her look perfectly and she carried a bag from a candy store tightly in her hand.

Stella’s older brother Liam, looked like a cool dude as always. He was dressed up like his father in blue jeans, a T-shirt and a black leather jacket.

Both children later put on sunglasses and were perfectly behaved during their afternoon stroll.

Also on the trip was Tori’s actor husband Dean McDermott who had previously voiced his resentment of how Candy always upset his wife.

But as they shopped at Dylan’s Candy Shop and had a bite to eat in Serendipity, he he seemed to also have put the troubled family past behind him and cemented the perfect family portrait.

Tori went a zany outfit and wore rubber boots, lace tights and a knee-length leopard skin jacket.

She looked relaxed and happy and delighted to have her family all together – finally.

Earlier today the family were out again – this time they enjoyed a carriage ride around the city.

Grandma Candy did not join them this time but the family did all the traditional things including stopping for hot dogs.

But Tori’s family outing yesterday comes amidst rumours that Candy is shopping around a new tell-all book that will dish the dirt about her often rocky relationship with her 37-year-old daughter.

But Candy, 65, has dispelling these reports saying that her book Golden Girl, Silver Lining will be about her journey from an ultra pampered wealthy housewife to finding herself and her own path when she was widowed nearly five years ago.

Her husband, TV mogul Aaron Spelling passed away in June 2006, leaving her an estimated $500million.

Tori was expected to inherit a sizeable fortune, but she was given just $800,000. Her brother Randy, who is, and has always been, close to Candy, also received $800,000.

She told Popeater: ‘It’s simply not true. It’s about me starting to work for the first time after I turned 60 and my husband passed away.’

Candy said she has not had a job, apart from being a home-maker, since she was 15-years-old where made $1.50 an hour at a candy store.

The grandmother is now producing a new Broadway play called How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starring British actor Daniel Radcliffe.

‘Everyone in my family has done something,’ she explains. ‘My husband Aaron was the most prolific TV producer of all time, and my daughter is the queen of reality shows. So I thought I would really like to dabble in producing musicals and then I got so hooked.’

Although she does not have to work, Candy said she is doing it because she enjoys it.

‘When I married Aaron I had no idea he would be this successful. I was in love with the man, not the money. We lived in a tiny house,’ she shared.

But she says she is annoyed that people seem to feed off her up and down relationship with Tori.

‘It’s very hurtful when people say mean things about my daughter and me,’ she said. ‘There was a time when things were rocky between us, and we worked that out, and I’m going to be on her reality show.’

But although she is one of the richest women in Beverly Hills, she says she will not be joining the Real Housewives reality show as she finds it offensive.

‘I don’t like those Housewives shows. They all get mean and bitchy, and I get my feelings hurt very easily’, she said.

Tori and Dean are filming their latest reality show and were pictured last week carrying a fluffy chick and a baby goat into their boutique shop called InvenTORI while cameras rolled for the programme.
